LOOK HOW FAR GOD HAS BROUGHT YOU
Reflection and gratitude.
Sweet friend, have you ever stopped to look how far God has brought you?
Just for a moment, I want you to stop. Stop scrolling, stop the to-do list running through your mind, stop everything — and look back.
Look back at where you were a year ago. Five years ago. Ten years ago. Think about the things you were carrying back then. The worries that kept you up at night. The situations you couldn’t see your way through. The relationships that felt impossible. The prayers you prayed through tears, not even knowing if anyone was listening. 🙏🏼
And now look at where you are sitting today.
You made it. 💜
Look how far God has brought you already, sweet friend — and He’s not finished yet.
I know it might not look exactly the way you pictured it would. I know there may still be things you’re praying about, still things you’re waiting on, still pieces of your story that haven’t come together yet. But sweet friend, look how far God has already brought you.
That impossible situation? You walked through it. That heartbreak you didn’t think you’d survive? You’re still here. That season where you felt like you were drowning, where every single day felt heavy and uncertain? You learned how to breathe again. That prayer that felt like it would never be answered? Some of those prayers have already been answered — maybe so quietly and so gradually that you almost missed it.
“I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.” — Psalm 89:1
Did you catch that word — faithfulness? Not luck. Not coincidence. Not just things working out on their own. Faithfulness. The kind that shows up quietly, day after day, year after year, carrying you through things you didn’t even realize you were being carried through.
So often we wait for the big, dramatic moments to recognize God’s hand in our lives. The miracle. The breakthrough. The answered prayer that comes wrapped with a bow. But friend, God’s faithfulness is usually much quieter than that. It’s in the friend who called at just the right moment. The bill that got paid somehow. The strength you didn’t know you had until you needed it. The peace that came in the middle of chaos that made absolutely no logical sense — except that it was Him.
Gratitude has a way of changing absolutely everything. 🌿
When we take time to stop and really look back at how far we’ve come, something shifts inside of us. It’s not just a nice feeling for a moment — it builds our faith for what’s still ahead. Because here’s the truth: the same God who brought you through everything behind you? He is not done. He is not finished with your story. And He is certainly not about to stop now.
If He carried you through that — He will carry you through this too.
So today, sweet friend, I want you to take just a few minutes. Sit somewhere quiet. Maybe with a cup of coffee or tea. And look back. Really look. Think about the mountains you’ve climbed, the valleys you’ve walked through, the prayers that have already been answered even if you didn’t notice at the time. And then give thanks. Out loud if you can. Write it down if that helps. Tell someone about it.
And then — look forward. Because if He brought you this far, you can absolutely trust Him for what’s still ahead. 💜
You are not the same person you were a year ago, five years ago, ten years ago. You are stronger. You are wiser. You have survived things you once thought would break you. And the God who walked every single step of that journey with you? He is walking this next one too.
Sweet friend, look how far God has brought you — and just wait until you see where He takes you next.
And just wait until you see where He takes you next.
