You Have Made It Through Every Hard Day So Far
Sweet friend, you have made it through every hard day that has ever come your way — and I don’t want you to skip past that truth too quickly. Let that really sink in for a moment. Every storm. Every heartbreak. Every night that felt like it would never end. You’re still here. You’re still standing. And that is no small thing.
Sometimes life has a way of making you forget just how strong you really are. You get caught up in the struggle of right now, and it can feel like this weight is the one that’s finally going to be too much. But can I remind you of something? You’ve felt that way before. And every single time, God brought you through.
You Have Survived Every Hard Day That Came Before This One
Think about it. There were moments you were absolutely sure you couldn’t take one more step. Days when getting out of bed felt like climbing a mountain. Seasons when your heart was so broken you didn’t know if it would ever feel whole again.
But you made it.
Not because you had all the answers. Not because you had it all together. But because deep down inside your spirit, something kept whispering, “Keep going.” That whisper? That was God, sweet friend. That was His hand on your life, holding you steady when your own strength ran out.
God Has Been Faithful Through Every Hard Day of Your Life
Here’s a truth that will anchor your heart on the roughest days — God has never once left your side. Not on your worst day. Not in your darkest hour. Not when you felt completely invisible to the rest of the world.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” — Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV){rel=”dofollow”}
He was there when nobody else was. He was catching every tear you thought fell unnoticed. And He was already working on your breakthrough while you were still trying to survive the battle. That’s who your God is. He doesn’t show up late. He shows up right on time, every time.
Every Hard Day You Walked Through Is Proof of Your Strength
You might not feel brave. You might not see yourself as strong. But sweet friend, your track record says otherwise.
Look at the evidence of your own life. Every disappointment you weathered. Every loss you grieved and somehow found a way to carry on. Every prayer you prayed through tears that eventually turned into praise. That is strength. Real, God-breathed, battle-tested strength.
And here’s the beautiful thing — you don’t have to be strong enough on your own. His strength is made perfect in your weakness. When you couldn’t carry yourself, He carried you. When your faith was barely the size of a mustard seed, He still moved mountains on your behalf.
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV){rel=”dofollow”}
How to Hold On Through Every Hard Day Yet to Come
Now I want to be real with you for a moment. I’m not going to pretend that more hard days won’t come. Life on this side of heaven isn’t always easy, and there will be days when your faith gets tested all over again.
But here’s what I want you to tuck deep into your heart for those days:
Remember where you’ve been. When today feels impossible, look back and count the battles God has already won on your behalf. That list is longer than you think.
Speak truth over yourself. When the enemy whispers that you can’t make it, you speak right back and say, “I have made it through every hard day so far, and with God beside me, I will make it through this one too.”
Lean into your faith. You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through life. Lay it at His feet. He’s asking you to let Him carry the weight.
Let yourself be held. You don’t have to be strong every minute of every day. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to say, “God, I need You.” He’s never once been bothered by your honesty.
A Prayer for Every Hard Day You Face
If you need it today, sweet friend, pray this with me:
Lord, thank You for every hard day You have already carried me through. Thank You that I am still here — still breathing, still standing, still held by Your love. On the days when I feel like I can’t go on, remind me of how far You’ve already brought me. Give me the strength to trust You with what’s ahead, even when I can’t see the path. I know You go before me. I know You are with me. And I know You will never let me go. In Jesus’ name, amen. 💜
Sweet Friend, You Have Already Proven You Can Get Through Every Hard Day
So today, wherever you are and whatever you’re carrying, I want to leave you with this — don’t underestimate how far you’ve come. You are not the same person you were before those hard days shaped you. You are stronger. You are wiser. You are more compassionate. And most importantly, you are deeply, completely, and unconditionally loved by a God who will never give up on you.
You have made it through every hard day so far. And sweet friend, you are going to make it through this one too.
