Go Ahead And Use The Good Stuff

Sweet friend, today is the day to finally use the good stuff — that beautiful candle, those pretty dishes, that perfume you’ve been tucking away — because you are worth every single bit of it.

Can I ask you something?

Is there something sitting in your home right now that you’ve been saving? Something you keep for “someday” or “somewhere special”? I think if we’re honest, most of us have at least one thing we’ve set aside because we’re waiting for the right occasion.

Maybe it’s a candle that smells like heaven, but you won’t light it because it’s “too nice.” Maybe it’s the good china your mama gave you that only comes out at Thanksgiving. Or maybe it’s that bottle of perfume that cost a little more than you’d normally spend, and you don’t want to “waste” it on a regular Wednesday.

But here’s the thing — and I really want you to let this sink into your heart today.

You woke up this morning. You’re breathing. You’re here.

That makes today pretty special, don’t you think?

Why Do You Keep Waiting To Use The Good Stuff?

We’ve all done it. You use the good stuff for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, or company coming over — but what about the other 300-something days of the year? What about the quiet mornings when it’s just you and your coffee? What about a random Tuesday when nobody’s watching?

Somewhere along the way, most of us picked up the habit of saving our best for later. We tell ourselves things like:

“I’ll light that candle when we have guests.”
“I’ll wear that dress when I have somewhere fancy to go.”
“I’ll use the nice lotion when this cheaper bottle runs out.”

But the truth is, sweet friend — later isn’t promised. And the life you’re living right now, this very day, is worthy of every beautiful thing you own.

You don’t need permission. You don’t need a special event on the calendar. You just need to decide that today is enough — because it is.

Use The Good Stuff Because You Deserve It Today

Think about what it would feel like to wake up tomorrow morning and pour your coffee into that pretty cup you’ve been saving. Picture yourself lighting that candle while you sit down to read your Bible or flip through a magazine. Imagine slipping on those earrings just because it’s a sunny afternoon and you felt like it.

Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

That’s not being wasteful. That’s being grateful.

When you use the good stuff, you’re telling God, “Thank You for this day. Thank You for this life. I’m going to enjoy every piece of it.”

And I believe with my whole heart that He smiles when you do.

“That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil — this is the gift of God.”Ecclesiastes 3:13{rel=”dofollow”}

Did you catch that? Finding satisfaction in your everyday life is a gift from God. He didn’t design your days so that you’d rush through them saving everything good for a moment that may or may not come. He gave you today and said, “Enjoy it.”

5 Simple Ways To Use The Good Stuff Starting Right Now

You don’t have to overhaul your entire life. You just have to start with one small, beautiful thing. Here are a few ideas to get you going:

1. Light the candle. Yes, that one. The one you got as a gift and tucked into the back of the cabinet. It was made to be lit, sweet friend. Let it fill your room.

2. Set the table with the good dishes. Even if dinner tonight is leftover soup and crackers. You’re worth the pretty plate.

3. Wear the perfume. Spray it on before you run errands. Spray it on before you fold laundry. You don’t need a destination to smell amazing.

4. Put on the jewelry. Those earrings, that bracelet, that necklace you’re “keeping nice.” Wear it. Let it catch the light while you go about your beautiful, ordinary day.

5. Drink from the pretty cup. You know the one. Stop reaching past it every morning. Pull it to the front of the shelf and use it like it was always meant to be used — by you, today.

Use The Good Stuff And Watch How Your Heart Changes

Here’s what I’ve found to be true — when you start treating your everyday life like it matters, something shifts inside you. You start noticing the little blessings. You start slowing down. You start feeling more grateful, more present, and more at peace.

It’s not about the candle or the dishes or the perfume. It’s about what they represent.

They represent you choosing to stop waiting and start living.

You are not saving those things for a better life. You are already living your life, sweet friend. And it is beautiful, and messy, and imperfect, and absolutely worth celebrating — right now, just as it is.

So today, I want you to do one thing for yourself. Just one. Pick something you’ve been saving, and use it.

No guilt. No hesitation. No “maybe next time.”

Today is the day.

“Maybe today becomes special the moment you decide it’s worth enjoying.”

Now I want to hear from you — what’s one thing you’ve been saving that you’re going to finally pull out and enjoy? Drop it in the comments below. I’d love to celebrate that moment with you. 💜
