For The Woman Who Takes Care Of Everyone Else
If you are the woman who takes care of everyone else, this is your reminder that you deserve some of that same kindness, too.
You’re the one who remembers. The birthdays. The anniversaries. The little things that nobody else seems to keep track of. You check in on people — not because someone asked you to, but because your heart won’t let you not. You notice when someone sounds a little off on the phone. You stay up a little longer to make sure everyone made it home safe. You carry quiet worries that nobody even knows about.
And you do it all because love isn’t just something you feel — it’s something you live.
But sweet friend, can I sit with you for just a minute today and ask you something honest?
Who takes care of you?
When The Woman Who Takes Care Of Everyone Else Forgets About Herself
It happens so gradually that you don’t even notice it. One day you’re just a little more tired than usual. Then the tiredness becomes your normal. You stop asking for help because it feels easier to just do it yourself. You stop talking about what’s weighing on you because you don’t want to be a burden — even though you would never, ever call someone else a burden for needing the same thing.
You’ve gotten so good at being the strong one that people forgot you might need strength poured into you, too. And honestly? You might have forgotten that yourself.
But here’s the truth that I need you to hear today — the truth that I sometimes need to hear myself:
You are allowed to be tired.
You are allowed to sit down. You are allowed to say, “Not today.” You are allowed to let the dishes sit and the phone ring and the to-do list wait while you just breathe for a minute.
That doesn’t make you selfish. That makes you human.
You Are Still The Woman Who Takes Care Of Everyone Else — But You Need Care Too
There’s a lie that sneaks into the hearts of women who give so much, and it sounds something like this: If I stop, everything falls apart.
And maybe some things would shift for a moment. But sweet friend, you were never meant to hold the whole world together by yourself. That was never your job. That has always been God’s job.
You are not loved because of what you do for everyone. You are loved because of who you are. And who you are — even on the days when you have nothing left to give — is more than enough.
You don’t lose your worth when you rest. You don’t lose your place when you say no. You don’t become less valuable because you finally admitted that you’re running on empty.
You become honest. And honesty is where healing begins.
God Sees The Woman Who Takes Care Of Everyone Else
On the days when nobody notices what you’re carrying — God does.
He sees every quiet sacrifice you make. Every prayer you whisper for someone else at 2 AM. Every time you put yourself last because you thought that’s what love required. Every tear you wiped away before anyone could see it.
And He isn’t standing at a distance waiting for you to figure it out on your own. He is right there beside you, with His hand already reaching toward yours, saying:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NIV){rel=”dofollow”}
Did you catch that? He didn’t say, “Come to me once you’ve got it all together.” He didn’t say, “Come to me after you’ve finished taking care of everyone else.” He said come now — weary, burdened, tired, and all.
That invitation was written for a lot of people. But today? Today it was written for you.
Letting Yourself Receive What The Woman Who Takes Care Of Everyone Else Freely Gives Away
You know how to love people so well. You know how to show up and be present and make someone feel like they are the most important person in the room. That is a gift, and don’t you ever let anyone make you feel like it’s too much.
But that same beautiful heart of yours needs to learn something that doesn’t come naturally to givers:
It’s okay to receive.
It’s okay to let someone bring you dinner without apologizing. It’s okay to let a friend sit with you in silence when you don’t have the words. It’s okay to let God carry what you’ve been white-knuckling for months.
Receiving isn’t weakness. It’s trust. And trust is one of the bravest things a strong woman can do.
So today, sweet friend, I want to leave you with this:
✨ “You deserve some of the kindness you keep giving everyone else.”
You don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to earn love. You don’t have to earn the right to be taken care of.
Let yourself be loved the way you love others. And if you don’t know where to start, start by letting God love you first. He’s been waiting. And He’s not going anywhere.
💜
