But here’s a truth that can change everything if you let it settle into your heart: you don’t know what tomorrow holds. And that’s not something to dread — that’s actually something beautiful.
Not knowing means there is still room. Room for God to move. Room for things to shift. Room for something so unexpected and so good that you couldn’t have planned it yourself if you tried.
Holding Onto Hope When You Cannot See What Is Coming
Right now, from where you’re standing, you can only see what’s directly in front of you. The bills. The heartache. The unanswered prayers. The loneliness. The exhaustion of doing your best and wondering if it’s enough.
But what you cannot see is everything God is doing behind the scenes.
Somewhere ahead of you, there is laughter you haven’t heard yet. There are people you haven’t met who will walk into your life and change it forever. There are places you haven’t visited that will fill your soul in ways you didn’t know you needed. There are prayers — ones you may have stopped believing would ever be answered — that are still making their way to you.
And there are quiet, ordinary afternoons that will someday become the memories you hold closest to your heart.
You just can’t see them yet from where you’re standing today.
God’s Promise Gives You Every Reason for Holding Onto Hope
If there is one scripture that speaks directly to this moment, it’s this one:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11{rel=”dofollow”}
Read that again slowly. Let every word land.
God knows the plans He has for you. Not plans to hurt you. Not plans to leave you where you are forever. Plans to give you hope. Plans to give you a future.
He didn’t say the road would be easy. He didn’t say you wouldn’t have hard days. But He promised — He promised — that what is ahead is not what is behind. There is more coming for you, and it is good.
Holding Onto Hope Means Trusting the Next Page
Think of your life like a book. Some chapters have been painful. Some pages have been stained with tears. But the story isn’t over.
God is the author, and He doesn’t end a story in the middle of the hardest chapter. He turns the page. He writes redemption. He writes joy after sorrow, beauty after ashes, morning after the longest night.
Don’t give up on tomorrow because today was difficult. The next page might hold something so beautiful it makes every hard chapter worth it.
“There are blessings ahead with your name on them that you cannot see from where you’re standing today.”
Choosing to Keep Holding Onto Hope Today
So what does that look like — choosing hope when everything around you says otherwise?
It looks like waking up and whispering, “God, I don’t know what today holds, but I trust You.”

It looks like refusing to let the worst day of your life be the last chapter of your story.
It looks like believing — even quietly, even with shaking hands — that the God who has carried you this far is not about to let you go now.
You are not forgotten, sweet friend. You are not invisible. And you are not beyond the reach of something beautiful.
The best may still be ahead. And it has your name written all over it. 💜
