You Are Stronger Than You Feel

Because He Is Within You

Have you ever woken up in the morning and just… felt tired before the day even started?

Not the kind of tired that a good night’s sleep fixes. I’m talking about that deep-down, bone-weary kind of tired. The kind that comes from carrying something heavy for a long time. A worry that’s been sitting on your chest for weeks. A relationship that’s been draining you. A season of life that just won’t seem to turn the corner no matter how hard you pray, how hard you try, or how many times you remind yourself to “just have faith.”

Sweet friend, if that’s you today — I want you to know something.

You are not alone. And you are not as weak as you feel.

The Verse That Changes Everything

I want to share one of my favorite verses with you today. You’ve probably seen it before — maybe on a coffee mug, a t-shirt, or a little sign hanging in someone’s kitchen. And sometimes, when we see something so often, it starts to blur into the background. We stop really hearing it.

But today, I want you to really hear it.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Read that again, sweet friend. Slowly this time.

I. Can. Do. All. Things.

Not some things. Not easy things. Not “things when I’m feeling strong and well-rested and have my life together.” All things. Every hard thing. Every impossible-feeling thing. Every thing that has been keeping you up at night.

And here’s the part that gets me every single time — it doesn’t say “I can do all things because I’m strong enough.” It says through Christ. Through Him. Because of Him living inside of you.

That changes the whole equation, doesn’t it?

You Don’t Have to Feel Strong to BE Strong

Here’s what I’ve learned after all these years of walking with God — and sweet friend, it took me a long time to really get this:

Your feelings are not your final answer.

Feelings are real. I would never tell you they aren’t. When you feel overwhelmed, that feeling is valid. When you feel like you can’t take one more step, I hear you. When the tears come and you just don’t know what to do next — that is real and it is human and God sees every single one of those tears.

But feelings are not facts.

The fact is — and this is the most beautiful, comforting, soul-settling truth I know — God is living inside of you right now. The same God who spoke the world into existence. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Lazarus from the dead, who conquered the grave on a Sunday morning. That God. He is not far away, sitting up in the clouds somewhere, watching you struggle.

He is within you.

And because He is within you, you are carrying more strength than you could ever measure.

The Days I Forgot This

I’ll be honest with you — because that’s what we do here, you and I. We’re just two friends sitting down together, having a real conversation.

There have been seasons in my life when I forgot all of this. When the worries piled up and the days got long and I started trying to carry everything in my own strength. And you know what happened? I got worn out. I got discouraged. I started believing the lie that maybe I just wasn’t strong enough, faithful enough, good enough.

Maybe you know that feeling too.

But here’s what God kept showing me, over and over again, in the gentlest and most patient way — because that’s just how He is with us:

“Marilyn, you keep trying to do this on your own. But I’m right here. I haven’t gone anywhere. Let Me be your strength.”

And every time I stopped, took a breath, and let Him back into the driver’s seat of whatever I was struggling with — things shifted. Not always instantly. Not always in the way I expected. But there was a peace that settled in. A quiet knowing that I was not alone and this was not all on me.

That peace is available to you too, sweet friend. Right now, today, in whatever you’re facing.

A Little Reminder for Your Heart Today

If you are in a hard season right now, I want to leave you with this:

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to feel brave to take the next step. You don’t have to white-knuckle your way through this on your own strength.

All you have to do is remember — He is within you.

When you wake up tomorrow morning and that heavy feeling creeps back in, before your feet even hit the floor, just whisper:

“Lord, I can’t do this on my own today. But You’re in me. And through You, I can do this.”

That’s it. That’s the whole prayer. And sweet friend, He will meet you there every single time.

You are stronger than you feel. Not because of anything you’ve done, but because of everything He is — and He has made His home inside of your heart. 💜

One More Thing Before You Go

I create this little space — this blog, this community — because I believe with my whole heart that we were never meant to walk through life alone. We were made to encourage each other, lift each other up, and remind each other of the truth when the lies get loud.

So if today’s post spoke to you, would you do something for me? Share it with a friend who might need it. Leave a comment below and let me know what you’re trusting God with today. Or just save it and come back to it on one of those hard days when you need a reminder.

You are so loved, sweet friend. More than you know. 🌸
